Chilean Andrés Allamand has taken office as the new Ibero-American Secretary General on February 8, 2022, after being appointed to the post during the First Meeting of Ibero-American Foreign Ministers on the road to the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government in the Dominican Republic on November 26, 2021 in Santo Domingo.
