Together for the 2030 Agenda: Partnering for Women, Children and Adolescents to Thrive and Transform the World
Tuesday, 20 September 2016. United Nations Headquarters New York 46th St & 1st Ave, Nueva York 10017
This high-level panel discussion on the power of partnering for women, children, and adolescents, to thrive and transform the world will take place on 20 September, in conference room CR3, United Nations Headquarters, New York.
Multi-stakeholder partnerships are encouraging multi-sectorial actions that are transforming the health, nutrition, food security, sanitation and education of individuals, communities and nations.
The event co-organizers – Every Woman Every Child, Scaling Up Nutrition Movement, Zero Hunger Challenge, in collaboration with the Global Partnership for Education and Sanitation and Water for All – are global partnerships bound by their commitment to work together to support all people to achieve their full potential. They are based on the principles of national ownership, of mutual trust, of transparency and of accountability. They are voluntary and collaborative, and include both public and non-public stakeholders.
The partnerships seek not to duplicate efforts but to benefit from shared efficiencies. They are working together to achieve results, sharing risks and responsibilities, resources and benefits – and we will be judged by the outcomes for people everywhere.
